When you paste a link, our server visits the page and reads through its code to find every image it can — not just the photos you can see, but also logos, icons, background images, and images that are tucked away in the page's data. Each image is then checked for its type, name, and size so you can sort through them and pick exactly the ones you want.

It finds regular photos, logos and icons, background images, sharp scalable (SVG) graphics, and even images that modern websites keep hidden inside their page data. It recognises common formats including JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, SVG, ICO, and BMP.

Most of the time, yes. Many modern sites — like online stores and listing pages — keep their image addresses inside the page's data even when the pictures only appear as you scroll, and we read that data to find them. Because we read a page's code rather than fully loading it like a browser, a small number of sites that build everything after loading may show fewer images.

It usually means the website that hosts that image doesn't allow it to be shown on other sites, so we can't display a preview here. The good news is you can almost always still download the image. If the download fails too, try opening the image in a new tab and saving it from there.

A few things can cause this. The page might be private or behind a login, it might be very large or slow to load, or it might block automated visits. Try a different page, double-check the address, or wait a moment and try again.

No. Everything happens on demand: when you extract a page or upload a file, we read it, send the images straight to your browser, and keep nothing afterwards. We don't store your links, your files, or the images you download.
